Battery goes dead

About 2 weeks ago, i left the lights on the battery went dead. I had a fried jump start me, it worked fine. Then a couple days later the battery died when my son was driving it. We bought a new battery. It seemd like the car was doing fine. Then yesterday my battery was dead again. I did not leave the lights on this time. my friend jump start it. I drove it home, about 5 blocks, it wouldn't start again. My husband charged the battery the lights inside the car came on , but when he tried to start it it went dead. What could we check to see what the problem is? Thank you if you can help us out.

Why is battery draining ford 2002 Taurus SES

Remove negative cable from battery, connect a test light to negative terminal, opposite end off light to negative battery post. ( let sit for 3 to 5 minutes). Then start pulling fuses, when the light goes out that's your bad circuit. God-Bless! Its worth a try.

Battery light comes on and off then kills my car

might be due to the battery being bad and may need replacement but if the battery is holding a charge then it might be due to a short out in some place

2004 chrysler pacifica no power even after jump

check for a bad connection like a bad ground at the battery, make sure both terminals are tight at the battery, the starter and the ground at the engine. the shop that installed the EGR should have erased the codes, after 50 to 100 miles you would be able to go through emissions.

I have a 2000 Denali that just turned over 200,000 and has never given me any problem until 2 weeks ago. I went to start it and it turned over and acted like it wasn't getting any fuel but wouldn't start...

Well, if you jumped the battery and it started, maybe you need a new battery. Get that checked out first. Also, when was the air filter replaced? I would probably take to an indy shop if it wasn't the battery or air filter because it could be a bunch of things: starter, fuel pump, fuel filter or fuel injectors.

3 days ago, i went to work no problem, had to move it after 6-7 hrs of time, would not turn on 2 try's, started like normal on 3rd. 2 days ago i drove it locally a couple of times, no problems. today...

I ran into the problem and it was corrosion on the battery terminals. on the inside against the battery. also check the the terminals for good connection.

Odyssey battery problem?

You need to remove the battery cables and clean the connections with a wire battery terminal cleaning tool. Then start the car and check the voltage at the battery with a multimeter. It should be between 13.5-16 volts. Any less and the alternator is defective. If this all checks out and you are 100% sure nothing is on drawing power then the battery more than likely has a dead cell. Remove the battery and take it to your parts store and have it tested. You will probably need a new battery.
