I have an Admiral refrigerator Mod. HMG19124, circa 1996, with freezer on top. On the lowest shelf of the refrgerator, to the right, we're having a problem with food freezing. It's only in this section & all the way to the right. I've played with the temperature settings in both freezer and refrigerator, all to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

At this point I am not sure if your Auto Damper that regulates the cold air is stuck closed or if the thermistor that controls the damper is responsible. You could also be having a defrost problem restricting the air flow to the fresh food section. Look into rear of freezer to see if there is a layer of frost building on rear panel. If yes then we will need to focus in a different direction. First by manually unplugging fridge and then using a hair dryer to help speed things up. The manual also has diagnostics test that you can do to locate a problem area like thermistors or many other errors will show once placed into diagnostics. Sea Breeze
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through
it.There is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the
fridge temp ..
The problem with the water is that the drain tube is plugged. The easiest way to fix this and to save money is to unplugg the refrigerator and leave the doors open all day. This will thaw out the drain tube without a service technician coming out. That will fix that problem. With it freezing the food on the where its not supposed, This may be a bad cold control. But try unplugging the unit for a day with the doors open and this may fix both problems. (i know it will fix the water issue)
