BenQ FP731 17" LCD Monitor Logo

Question about BenQ FP731 17" LCD Monitor

3 Answers

Unexplained Blank screen.

I run a dual monitor setup for my modelling work, the BENQ FP731 is my secondary monitor, and when i first set it up, it was working perfectly. When i started up my PC today, the of the BENQ was blank. the power is on, the light next to the pwoer button is green, the cables are working and both ports in my gfx card are working, i tested the other connections with my other monitor. the screen isnt exactly blank, i can barely see the BENQ logo when i start it up, it looks as though the brightness was completely turned down but i cant see the menu, or even if its coming up. Is there a way to reset all the settings? or another way to fix this problem?

BENQ G925HDA recently giving trouble. When power applied, the ON/OFF button works but screen goes WHITE ALL WHITE then black. Whenever the PC powers on the screen goes white and stays white...the screen shows n real video at all. Menu button does not work. Un-plugged/plugged-in both leads ( POWER + VGA ) leads no change - still not working like it used to. hs anyone any pointers or even the exact reason? . . . THANK YOU.

Looks like your Power Supply has gone Kaput .. Usually it is the Electrolytic Capacitors on the Power Supply Board, try a new one, or replace ALL the Electros with same or better ones.

I have a 15 inch BenQ FP731 monitor and its been working all fine for the past year, until yesterday. I have an Acer laptop hooked up to the monitor as its screen was wrecked so I just kept the display on...

This because your ACER laptop having higher resolution than your monitor. Please lower your ACER laptop resolution as low as possible then try again.

I RECENTLY STARTED USING BENQ MONITOR & NOW I HAVE IRRITATION ON MY EYES. WILL THERE BE ANY RADIATION FROM BENQ MONITORS

There's practically no radiation from LCD monitors, especially compared to older CRT monitors, which radiated several sorts of electromagnetic waves.

Is the picture on your monitor crisp, with good focus? If the letters and shapes are blurry, it may mean that you are using a different screen resolution than the native resolution of your LCD.
If your monitor type is FP731, then it's native resolution is 1280x1024 and this is what should be set in the Display Properties under Settings tab (in Windows). If it's a different model, you can search for it's specs on the web to see what is it's native (a.k.a. optimum) resolution.

Please rate and possibly leave a testimonial if helped.

Black out problem

Try a different known working monitor and hook it up to the computer. Turn on the computer and the monitor and see if you can get video. If you get video then you know the original monitor is bad.

If with the known good working monitor you still don't get video then you know its something either with the video card or the motherboard if you have integrated video.

Blank screen

is your Xerox XA7-19i monitor supplied with a fixed DVI-I Single Link cable with Windows Vista?if it has u can connect it via a VGA card which will work with the driver

As a result of this cable configuration recent Nvidia Vista drivers do not detect the monitor causing a blank display and apparent "Hang-up". (Although this is not the case, you simply cannot see what's going on!)
This is a problem that was introduced with the release of new series drivers

Screen displays fine for a second, then goes blank

Dor, BenQ has a 3yr warranty on their monitors. I would contact their tech support and receive an RMA to return it for repair. It will cost you shipping out there but they will ship it back. I has a BenQ FP731 myself and it blew a capacitor inside that allowed the screen to stay on. Fixed it and had it back in 5-7 days. Good luck.
