I have a 46 inch dlp model # hlp4663w, the 3 lights were blinking in front of tv and that says that the lamp is bad. The 3 lights are blinking together and will just keep blinking all night. So i changed the lamp but now when i turn the tv on the picture will only be there for about 3 mins and then it goes black but i still hear sound. The problem with that now is that i can't turn tv off(i press power on tv and remote and won't go off) The only way i can turn it off is by unplugging the tv. When i plug it back in it does same thing(picture goes black but i hear sound) the old lamp was still producing a picture so i put that lamp back in but still was going black and i had sound. And i still had to pull the plug to get tv off. I need some help to fix the problem

if lamp is ok, it can also be the lamp driver, color wheel, or dmd board(rare)
first pull out the lamp and check that, likely your bad part, part numbers on the side of the tv, www.dlplampsource.com for parts. let me know if I can provide further assistance.
Be sure the lamp cover door is closed to activate the safety switch. Otherwise the set will need a ballast or possibly the color wheel is not starting........it can be defective, especially if you have heard a whining noise prior to the set failing
all 3 lights blinking means lamp has a fault the service manual says replace the lamp. If you need the service training manual for that model let me know and I will post the link as the training manual has excellent trouble shooting breakdowns for that model DLP
Your problem could be your lamp is not seeted all the way in. Take you lamp out and put it back in. Or it could be you ballast that lights you lamp is bad. You may need a new ballast.
HLP, HCN HL-S The Start-up Problem or/and 3 LEDs in the front blinking. Unplug the set, pull out the lamp module (not all the way - leave it on the track) and push it back in. Power issues (Tv not turning on) were typically due to faulty ballast. While the TV reports a bad lamp it is the ballast itself causing the issue. Samsung is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast). After replacment most people stop having issues
