Emmerson 32" flat panel HDTV will not stay on. Green light comes on HDTV shows on screen for about 1 second, then it shuts off and red standby light comes on. I need help this tv is less than a year old. It just started doing this.

The failure with this LCD might be due to a failing power supply or backlight inverter board. Since your TV is less then a year old, I would suggest to call the manufacturer to get it fix under warranty.

i have the same problem. i just replace the power board because of the "green blinking" light. now, light stays green, picture comes on for a few seconds, then blank....

Ok, another words, monitor powers up for few seconds and shuts down by itself. If green LED on the front panel turns off as well or stays on? If stays on, then inverter turns into protection mode because of old backlight lamps. If it turns off in same time with an image on the screen, then there are some bad electrolytic capacitors in the power supply.

Just recently, I was told how to get another tv.
You find a good TV service centre and ask them to fix it. If they cant you take the work order from your tv sc and call 1-877-297-8391.
