Duraband 19'' TV shows one horizontal bright line ONLY
After more than 18 months of usage yesterday my Duraband 19'' SDTV shows only one bright horizontal line in the middle of screen.
Tried making it On / OFF pulling the cable wire in / out , nothing seems to work.

Yes there is, a solution. There is a vertical sweep issue with your TV set. It could be a vertical output IC and or the sweep power supply feeding the IC. This repair will involve trouble shooting the vertical circuit, and replacing parts. If you have no solid state repair experience, my best advice would be to take the set into a repair shop and get an estimate on this TV. The repair, in most cases, should not exceed 125 bucks, and thats a high end cost. Good Luck

I had the same issue with the white horizontal lines with myCanon Powershot series camera too. When taking pictures, I get the horizontal lines. In daylight, I almost cannot see the pictures because it gives me very bright output. In darker areas, the picture can still be toleratedbut white lines are still there. Although when I am taking a video, the quality is good.
As part of their advisory: "Effective immediately, and regardless of warranty status, Canon willrepair, free of charge, the products listed above exhibiting theabove-mentioned malfunction if Canon determines that the malfunction iscaused by the CCD image sensor. Canon will also cover the cost ofshipping and handling in connection with this repair."
The shutter is stuck. The electronic "noise" created by the solenoid trying to move the shutter blades causes the lines on your pictures. The bright outdoor pictures is due to the fact that the shutter is jammed open.
You can try tapping the camera on the sides and bottom. This may jar the baldes loose. Failing that, you will have to find a shop that can obtain a replacement lens assembly for your camera.
Thjeres a problem with the screen voltage driver voltage capacitor or the crt is going bad. have the shop test the b+ on the crt board first off . then remove the crt board and see if the voltage comes up. If it does the capaicitor is bad as it can take the load. But remeber theres extremly hi Voltage inside these sets so its never a good idea to try to do this your self unless you have the training to deal with HI Voltage and the proper saftey and test equipment. Good Luck
