This printer has always printed the job itself and then sent through 1 extra blank page after every job. Recently it printed the job but the extra blank page jammed. I carefully removed it and it was not torn, but now it will not print. It just seems to spin like there is something in there. I have checked it thoroughly and cannot find any thing in it. Do you think uninstalling and reinstalling would fix it? I have already cleared the print que, tried turning it off and I have tried unplugging it.
When you removed the jammed paper , the jam paper sensor was not reset or positioned correctly. The reason the machine was sending two pieces of paper thru at once was probably due to the paper feed sensor. A lot of H'Ps do this. Try re-aligning the tray and if you pulled the paper out and heard a grinding noise, the whole feed unit is probably out of time.I would only re-install the software as a last resort, since your problem was caused by hardware, not software. OK, so how do you reset the paper sensor and realign the tray?
