Check that the fan is running at the back of the freezer section. If it isn't, the freezer will continue to get colder but as the air is not moving around the cabinet, you get areas of ice buildup. The fan is usually at the top of the back panel, With the fridge unplugged, remove the panel in front of the fan motor. You can otherwise check if the fan is running by pressing the door switch whilst the freezer door is open. If the fridge is running, when you press the switch, the light should go out and the fan should start.
The filter you need is T2RFWG2 and P2RFWG2 (part number 4396841) . The filter is in the base grill on the freezer side of the side by side. There is a cap over the filter. You need to push the release button on the cap to remove the cap and filter. Save the cap and put it on the new filter before replacing the filter. If you replace the cap, you can use the water and ice dispenser without the filter.
The Amana with model number SCD25TW does not have a water filter. You would have to install an in-line filter on the water supply line if you want to filter the water. If your talking about the model number ARS266ZBS, then open the refrigerator door and look at the top right hand side. You should see a filter housing with a tab to release. Once released you have to remove the filter from the housing to replace it. When finished be sure to run about a gallon through the dispenser, to flush any air out of the system.
If your compressor is running with the noise you described, I would make sure the parts that were replace on compressor are working properly. Also use a amp meter and get a reading on amp draw while it is humming. Anything that is above normal readings for the compressor would indicate compressor is bad or the relay and starter are not working properly. I need a series number also like a number 15 before the model number, Thanks, Sea Breeze
