I cant put music on the SanDisk sansa mp3 player.

Connect your player in MSC/Rhapsody mode and look for the SYSTEM folder in Windows Explorer (My Computer). Inside this you'll see a DATA folder. Hightlight this and press the DELETE button on your keyboard. Un-plug your player and it will build a completely new database instead of just refreshing the old one.

Now see if the newly added music shows up in your players's listings

"keeps saying building database and stays like that

An unwanted file (like a virus) on the player's storage could cause this problem.

A quick solution would be to run a virus scan using an Antivirus when the player is connected to the computer. If still the problem persists, try manually analyzing the files on the player. Sometimes, weird things like even a word document could stop the player from loading.

Wondering how a word document could go into a player? Just try to remember whether you used the player as a pen-drive for transferring files!

If you are not sure which files are unwanted, feel free to list out the files that's on the player. I will try my best to locate the culprit for you :)

Good luck!

Can't add songs to the mp3 player

First, go to my computer and scroll down to devices with removable storage, then look for you mp3 player, click on it, enter it's file system, and find where it keeps mp3's, then just copy and paste, it bypasses the software. If that does not work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and program, then try it again. That is a model number
