The Sanyo CXWY Remote stopped working with the projector, we got the replacement but it still won't work. The projector works manually, and the remote works but not with each other

You may have reassigned the projector/remote control codes. If you still have your User's Manual, reference page 38 and there are instructions on how to reset the codes.

are the other top controls working like power, menu,select etc??
remote problems can be caused by inproper code settings in the setting menu items.
try to switch to " code 1 "

check the safety switch under the lamp cover if the has snapped there wont be any power

I would first try changing the batteries in the remote and verifying that batteries are in the right direction (+ and - terminals line up).

Once that is done, try pointing the remote right at the infrared sensor at the front of the projector...the black plastic circle on the front of the projector.

You have narrowed it if a universal works but the original does not--95% of the time the remote can be fixed.

In addition remote problems fall usually into three areas:

1. something got spilled on remote

2. remote was dropped and the little led that sends signal is broken from the board or another solder connection was cracked.

3 issues with the battery connections dirty or loose.

Try to Google the model number of the remote for a "manual" which if old may not exist but if found will have codes to try.

Hello,Instead of replicating your laptops desktop can you please try extending the desktop. This way your laptop can keep its native resolution and so can the projector. Let me know how it goes.

Hi, You need a code to match with your TV remote. The codes for the Ge universal remote for Sanyo are 0049 0097 0110 0004 0268 0012 0108 0180. You will have to try each code seperately untill you get one that works. Good luck.
