For one if stuff had got between the two glass plates the you need to replace that seal that can be harmful for any one standing in front of the microwave when it is running.

SOURCE: condensation betwejn the front door glass

This would require disassembly of the door panels, which is not recommended unless really required.

You can download the installation guide to help you troubleshoot and correct your venting issues. That should be priority one.

It may be a clogged filter, a bird's nest in the outlet, etc. etc. Failure to vent can cause control panel and keypad trouble if it continues.

SOURCE: condensation inbetween glass door on GE Spacemaker

Your glass seal has failed and I doubt it makes sense to replace the door. Yes, it can be dangerous as the moisture becomes worse you risk the chance the glass could over-heat and blow out. Sounds like you need to replace it, sorry!

SOURCE: How do I clean the inside glass on the door - GE Profile JVM1870

I have a Kenmore with similar issues.
Model 665.61639100
Anyway, good luck with this. Hope someone has an answer for you (and me).
Mine has a open slot on the top front of the door. Kinda like a double plate window execpt for the opening in front. Why is this there? I don't know. Weird design. But it leaves for the possibilty of liquid to splash in there leaving it hard to clean (like impossible).

I'm thinking I have to completely remove and disect the door.

We have a new 24"Dacor

The service manual is here and the parts list is here.
That mesh is the door screen which prevents microwave leakage.
It must be intact or replaced, or a fire hazard exists.
You can order Dacor parts by part number from the Pros here.

Steam got inside door of microwave behind glass. Now there are white spots where water dried. How do I clean the inside?

Look and see if there are screws holding the inside of the door to the outside of the door.
If so, remove the screws and the door should come apart, and may be cleaned.
God bless your efforts.

Can you use a microwave if the glass on the door is broken?

It is not advisable. The door is a critical safety part of the microwave oven. The glass being gone will allow heat in areas of the door not designed for heat. The glass also is a support for the safety mesh that contains the microwave energy to the cavity.

The mesh screen on the inside door has a hole in it..

would suggest replacing door for safety purposes only," it could be fine as far as resisting waves",but never sure for how long or if it realy is. An old saying makes sense," Better safe than sorry".

GE XL1800 Door

OK, I'm no handy man and I just figured out how to do this. Open the door and remove the black plastic cover surrounding the inside glass. I used a regular flat head screw driver to pop this out.

Now I removed the 3 screws holding the inner panel against the glass on the front door. After removing the screws, the inner panel is held in place by a series of plastic clips. Go around the perimeter and pop the plastic clips out so the inner panel including the mesh comes out of the door.

Now you have complete access to clean the inside of the glass door!

I found it easier to do this operation with the door completely off the microwave, but you should be able to do this with the door in place too.
