Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
My neighbor has a GE Spacemaker microwave, model JVM1640BB, that she replaced a cooktop light bulb in. When she replaced it, the bulb exploded in her hand. Now nothings works except for the display. The display acts as if it is cooking or turning on the lights, but it is not.
The control board has been damaged but it can probably be repaired. We repair this common control board problemn on a regular basis for only $39.95 nationwide. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383 Feel free to contact me directly if you have further questions. GE Spacesaver micro JVM1851 replaced lamp, stays on, display claims on / night light / off. Is dimmer/switch integral to main board? If so, can I solder new microswitch/s to board?
