The remote wire from the amp is connected to a blue wire behind your head unit. This is a power antenna activation wire; it's only active when the tuner is selected. Switch the remote wire to a blue/white wire at the head unit.

No sound from the cd and extended media but have sound from radio

If you have an amplifier connected to the radio, make sure the amp remote wire is connected to the blue/white wire and not the blue wire of the radio. The blue wire is for power antenna and is energized only when tuner is playing, not when cd or ext media is played, and therefore will shut your amp off when playing those sources.

Radio works but cd plays with no sound

you probably have your amp hooked up to your power antenna remote. there should be another blue wire (probably blue with a white stripe) that is for amp remote.

My issue was that I didn't have the blue "amp" wire hooked up and I had a factory amp.

Troubleshooting in car cd player

that is very strange but it could be that when you put the cd in the radio it maybe sending out a quick shot of amplified power I would try disconecting the subs put in a cd let it play a little then plug the subs in while the cd is playing and see if they work if this works you may to get a new radio or put in a switch to turn the subs off or some type of momentary circuit breaker I'm just trying to help I never saw anything like that before good luck........
