HP 2009m LCD monitor is cracked.

Hey everyone. My HP 2009m LCD monitor cracked when I took it out of my box after moving. Is it possible to open the monitor and buy a new screen and replace it? Or do I have to buy a new monitor?

I would buy a new monitor. Unless you have some prior experience with replacing screens, the labor outweighs the price of a new monitor.

SOURCE: Help my hp 2009m monitor

A professional TV/video repair-person knows how to open it, how to order the correct replacement part, and how to reassemble and test it. This is not a "do-it-self" repair, like changing batteries in a flash-light.

HP 2009M 20-Inch HD LCD Monitor 2009m/v/f (3 versions) there are 3 possible connections
VGA/DVI and HDMI (optinal)
only 1 cable matches the below unstated system.
the blue LED for power I thing means power is ok
amber for sure is sleep mode.
the Monitor tells you if an error happes.
then on camera system first.
then with cables connected.
turn on the monitor last.
the mother turns on goes blue button color
and if the camera system is dead the monitor will show for 5 seconds at least.
no signal
no cables connected
no sync
over-range, error.

Wireless Connection possible? If so how?

To me, it appears that the HP 2009m is only a monitor, see:
HP Pavilion 2009m Monitor Product Specifications and notice it has no wireless capability. Sometimes I have seen people use the model number off the monitor for the computer's model number. Take a look at the computer itself and look for a model number. I'm assuming you have a desktop, and not all desktops have built-in wireless. If it does, you should have a Wireless Network icon in the lower right of your display in the Notification Area by the Clock. But it would help to know your computer's actual model number as there are several scenarios to remedy your issue and I would rather focus on just one.

How to watch two picture at the same time

1. Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
2.
In the DisplayProperties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
3.
Click the Display list and select your external monitor. If you do not see multiple monitors listed, your computer hardware may not support Dualview. You can still use MaxiVista to configure a second computer as an additional display, however.
4.
Select the Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor option. Click Apply or OK.
Now you can have different windows open on my laptop's built-in display and the external monitor. I can move windows between the two displays and even stretch windows across both displays.

I need a manual for my hp 2009m 16:9 lcd 20'' monitor i need to no if i can connect a vga cord to my monitor and tv

You can find a detailed description how to connect your HP monitor to your computer here.
The 2009m might not have a VGA or HDMI connection (according to this source), but the option to use DVI. So you might have to go and get the correct cable or adapter.
Also look at the bottom of the page for more helpful links.

dirty switch. I took my 2009m apart and cleaned the switches with alcohol on a qtip and the problem's gone. Not too hard to do. Leverage the case gently with a putty knife or something and it will pop open. Then pop around the edge to remove the back completely.
