Download and install Leapfrog connect. If it doesn't download, there's an offline download option available. After installing it, connect your leappad ultra with the usb cable to the pc. power it on. it should get connected. If it doesn't maybe your anti virus software is blocking it. If this happens, go to your antivirus software settings and under firewall rules, select allow for leapfrog connect .exe. Then it should detect your leappad ultra. Go to left hand top corner , select My Products. Then select your leappad ultra. Then goto Settings on the right top corner and in the pop up, select Reset. It will take around 15 - 20 mins to reset it. All data will be erased.
take the battery out and hold the power button for like 15 seconds. then put battery baCK on and plug it in but do not try to power on. lets saee what goes? remember not to power on
I used the pencil eraser first on each of my daughter's cartridges. Then I used a qtip to rub them with rubbing alcohol. Finally I used a blow dryer to blow out where the cartridges are installed and now her games are working just fine.
This site is worthless...more interested in tricking you with AD links than giving you an answer. Press Volume Down, Home and Right Directional...then power on. Connection screen will appear, connect it to your PC and select repair after tune up is done.
Then delete your profile on here and report the link you followed from google as worthless.

This toy sucks. I've had a really crappy year, but three months ago I had a good month and had a little extra to spare so I decided to buy, for Christmas the Leappads my two daughters had been asking for since last year's Christmas.
All good? NO! After being very excited and seeing the happiness on my two little girls's faces when they saw their gifts I was very happy with the way this year was ending. Until it came time to get a few "apps" and connect to the internet etc. with these things. Nothing works, no updates, no registrations, nothing. To add insult to injury, I've my proof of purchase for these two items has been lost and I now have to sit my two little kids down tomorrow to let them know that their "dream gifts" are useless and may remain that way for the foreseeable future. I've plugged a lot of stuff into my computer and have never had any problems, until this little kid's toy came along and nothing works.
Way to go LeapFrog. I followed your instructions and am now stuck with two absolutely useless toys after spending the bulk of my Christmas day trying to get these stupid things to work!!!
First you have to identify cables. You have 2 cables that enter box. Each cable has black and white wires. One cable probably comes from breaker box, and one cable probably goes to Load (which means your fan-light)
Separate wires for testing. Turn power ON. Test each wire to bare ground wire. Tester lights up on Hot wire. This wire will connect to brass 'Line' screw on back of new GFCI device. Hot is identified. Test Hot to all other wires except bare ground. Tester lights up on Neutral wire. Neutral connects to silver screw that sits across from Line screw on new GFCI device. Other two wires inside box go to Load. These wires connect to the two wires that stick out on back of new GFCI device.
Ground wires are connected together and connect to green screw on new device.
i don't see a solution
