Question about Zenith C27V22 27" TV
My TV makes a really high pitched humming noise when we have the TV on. It started right after we subscribed to HD digital cable. When ever the TV is on the TV/AUX setting & we're playing video games or movies through our PS2, there is no hum, but when we're watching regular cable, the hum starts again. If we bump the side of the TV it will go away, but it always comes back. Also, I don't know what kind of difference this makes, but while we watch HDTV channels, it doesn't seem to hum either?? Thanks!!
There is a coil in the set with a magnet glued to it, called the horizontal linearity coil. Sometimes the coil "sings", making a squeeling sound. I have seen this many times, and there really isnt anything actually electrically wrong with the set. To stop the squeeling the coil should be replaced.
