I have an old Russell Hobbs coffee percolator model CP1 which I was given as a wedding present in 1965. I cannot remember using it. I don't have an instruction manual and would welcome some basic information on its use. In particular
1 How much water should I add. Should it be kept below the bottom of the perforated coffee beans container?
2 the control lever AUTO 1 2 3 NON AUTO. What does each of these settings control.?
Please note that the product Russell Hobbs CP1 coffee percolator appears not to be supported. I have entered RHCM3333 only to get this post to be accepted. The correct product is however CP1
Thank you
J McAlee
1-2-3 gives coffee strengths, non auto just keeps on going so you can select your own strength, but be careful as it does not cut out and can boil dry .The reset button under the pot is for this purpose ,but may not always work.I just use the non auto when i return for more coffee to increase the temperature.
We too have a CP1, we need to find parts for a full restoration, after 50 years of service (it too was a wedding present to my parents in 1967) mum left it on, it boiled dry. I've messaged Russell Hobbs, but in case they can't help, anyone know a vintage parts source?

Oh, also, water level; if you look inside the pot you'll see a gold painted line. This is the fill to point.
