Power supply in HP slimline s7310n

It sounds like the CPU is over heating. It probably has poor ventilation. Unplug the unit and open the side panel. Carefully vacuum all the dust inside. Be careful not to damage any electronics. You can use a small brush to loosen the dust before vacuuming. Good luck!

Power supply capacitors, try taking a hair dryer and put it on the vents in the back and see if it will come on after warming it up for 3 or 4 mins, if it does its capacitors, you can replace them yourself if you can solder or replace the power board.

I have a hp pavillion a820n that will not turn on. There is a green blinking light on the back so I asume it is getting power. Do I need to replace the power supply?

Hi ,

With what ur saying i see that there is no light on the front panel of the computer tower however there is a light at the back which means that the computer is getting power .U need to do the following steps to see if it is the issue with the power supply :
1►Disconnect all the cables from the back panel and open up the chassi

2►Then remove the memory card and then reset the cables for the hard drive, ATX cable (the cable that comes out from the power supply and gets connected to the motherboard),cmos battery(round battery on the motherboard looks identical to the battery that we have for the watch )

3►Leave the side panel open and then try to turn the computer on .If its the same then

4►Remove the memory card and then try to turn the computer on if it does not give a long beeping noise then the motherboard needs to be replaced .. It should be the motherboard as there is a light at he back whic indicates that the power supply is ok .The light ata the back is for the power supply .

Computer won't turn on after short in electrical circuit

Hi:
You might just need the power supply on your computer tower replaced. It is about $40, and not that hard to swap out. Most computer stores will test it for you for free too. If they test it and its good, then you might have further damage to your tower from the power problem, but the power supply would be the most likely problem

Tower wont power up with blinking green light in back

The blinking green light could be the network connection. They will show power even if the computer's not running, as long as the power cable is connected. There are on/off switches on some power supplies on the back of the computer, so check and make sure it's on. Does the fan on the power supply come on? If not, your power supply has probably failed. If it's over 2 years old, there's a good chance it could die. Additional cards and (USB) devices can draw too much power and wear out the power supply. Some power supplies come with fuses, but they are usually soldered to the circuit board inside the power supply case. Make sure you let your computer have plenty of air since heat can ruin it as well. If your power supply fan does spin up, then there could be a lot of different things wrong, and they could be expensive to fix. It could cost $50 to $100 for a repair shop to give you a better answer.

Constant green blinking light Mitsubishi tv WS-65513

A quick fix for this is to use a hair dryer to heat up the capacitors and then plug the tv back in.  It should only take about 90-120 seconds to heat them up depending on how hot the dryer is.  The cap's are located on the right side.  Take the front cover off the TV, and heat up the box that is about the size of a small cable box on the right side.  Once the cap's are warm, they will stay warm as long as the TV stays plugged in.
