Heh... I wouldn't recommend the crowbar. Their is a belt inside the drive underneath the actual reader, it's broken, happens alot. As to actually fixing that issue, you would have to open up the case and take it apart, can be difficult on some drives. I don't know where you could get a replacement belt either. I had to turn my samsung into a manual dvd player (I have to pop off the top, pick up the drive and slide over a pin to open it.) I wouldn't actually recomend that, I just didn't feel like paying to have it fixed. I couldn't find a belt anywhere. which left me with the option of going to a repair center. Probably your only option as well... Unless of course you do like the idea of a frankenstein dvd player. Good Luck

Bad DVD player ( Karaoke )

Th fault is on your disk tray mostly. Just try to switch off your player once and then restart it again. If that doesn't work then try to open the screws in the DVD player only the disc portion and try to check whether there is a damage on the disk tray.

Sony RDR-GX360 won't respond to any buttons on unit or remote. Only function that works is power button. Disk tray won't even open.

Try unplug, replug the unit back like about an hour later for the unit for resetting itself back to factory setting. If getting the same result the unit might have a shorted motor drive for the disc tray.Or shorted control panel on the unit itself.Well, this thing a basic DVD player only wright? If u can tries take it aparts and check out tries to repair it ur self that great. If u tries the shops, not worth it.Trash it.These basic DVD player only are very cheap now.U can get one brand new like $40 dollars.

Region unlock a Sony DVP-SR500H

Ok here's what I've figured out for Sony dvp sr500h...

To get to the hidden menu, you need to start with the DVD player power OFF
then hit
TOP MENU
CLEAR
POWER (to turn the dvd player on)

and you should now see the hidden menu

then go to option 2
then option 4

then this is as far as I get...you can enter codes here but none I've tried have worked....

the ones I've tried so far are 2812, 34570, and 12450

if anyone can figure out the correct code please post here.

Tray won't open.

hello,

the reason the tray wont open is because there is a problem on the mechanism that controls the opening and closing of the tray.

most likely the rubber that assists in opening and closing the disc tray.

to fix this, unscrew the player, turn it on and press the open button, it'll respond and stop.

you'll see a kind of mechanism that carries the tray, its engine is by the side of the tray.

when the tray stops responding after you've pressed the open button, try to carefully sit the engine properly and press the open button again and it will respond.

if you cannot do that on your own,try to take it to a service center for further repairs.

take care

DVD stuck in tray of Panasonic RA60.

many dvd players have a small hole near the tray. if yours has this little hole just straighten out a small paper clip to form a straight piece of wire and insert the wire in the hole. That will open it up for you.

H03 Error & Disc Tray Error

Most likely the tray for your player came out of aligment, this happens when someone pushes on the tray to close it, instead of using the "Open/Close" button, you need to take it to somebody to realign the disc tray.
