Hi,
So many problems...telephone guy was installing another line and I had to turn the phone upside down.
1.The spkr light is now on all the time, and I can't just pick up the handle and be connected to line one. I have to press line 1 and to disconnect i have to press the spkr button.
2.I was set up to hit line 1 then transfer all calls to another line ..no longer works.
3. I can't transfer individual calls anymore..
Can you help me?
Thanks
Shane
The picture here is of a Comdial phone I am familiar with but that is not what you are describing.
I am not familiar with your specific phone but it sounds like you have the phone in headset mode. There may be a button to turn this feature on/off that was hit by mistake.

Caller ID requires 3 things, service, hardware, and programming. The hardware is a CID card with a part number ending in 93, as in TA62493,82493,TD193 etc. Then system programming in the 900's turn it on for each CO line and the phone needs to be ringing to display CID when the phone rings.
A 3x7 system with 7731 phones tends to show that you have a TA-624/824 series system. CID is delivered to the phones via a xxx93 card and programming. In a 624 it connects to the main board via a ribbon cable and is installed in the system cover. The 82493 cards plug into slots on the main board. Once, or if, the card is installed, it needs to be turned on via programming. At the very minimum, program 900 in system programming turns it on and there are other parameters that you can adjust in the 900's.

Hi
This is Neo . Check the Filters in the phone line if you have installed the filter . if there is no filters before the telephone , install a filter . Whether the phone line are connected properly and check the wall point where the connection from the DSL and telephones . Check the cords and try changing the RJ11 cords . RJ cors the phone thin cords .
NOTE : FILTERS SHOULD BE INSTALLED FOR TELEPHONES BUT NOT FOR 2 WIRE .
To make a Conference Call 1. While on a call, press Cnf/Trn_____. 2. Dial a [DN] (or access an outside line and dial an external telephone number). 3. Press Cnf/Trnafter the called party answers. All parties are conferenced together. If you added an outside line to the call, press Cnf/Trnagain before hanging up to allow the outside parties to continue talking. (If you do not, the call is disconnected). Note Some types of outside lines (“unsupervised”) do not automatically disconnect when conferenced parties hang up. In this case, press one of the flashing buttons to monitor the conference. If the parties are still on the line, press Cnf/Trn + Spkr, then hang up. When no one is on the line, press Spkrto disconnect the lines.
Sounds like you have two seperate line groups programmed in the system, Program 32 " Automatic Preference " controls the lines the phone will automatically be connected to when the telephone handset is taken off hook or the Spkr button is used.
hi
this problem points to 1 main thing:
your line voltage is low
how many phones are connected on the line?
if there are more then 3-4 its too much!
you got only 1-2 ?
call the phone company and tell them u got a low tone...
good luck
