The drivers needed to connect your Sony camera to a computer and transfer files are already included in the operating system, so you don't have to install anything. If there is a software on that disk to enable you to edit, sort pictures, etc, you could try to Troubleshoot compatibility, by right-clicking on setup.exe located on your cd.
You can get a good used LCD pulled from a camera online for about $40 to install yourself. I don't get paid by that big auction website, so I don't type their name, sorry.
RE not being able to USB function on Sony Cyber Shot camera connecting it to TV....solution was to change USB Mode on camera from PTP to AUTO. Turn on camera, press home button. Click to Main Settings 1 and then use down arrows to go to Main Settings 2. Highlight USB MODE PTP, and use right arrow to change setting to AUTO, and press Home button to exit.
If you have the COA sticker on the bottom of your laptop, you can pretty much use any disc with the same OS as the sticker (XP Home won't work for XP Pro and vice-versa), the discs you can use several times to install, but the COA is what you're really paying for.
I don't advise ths next suggestion unless you have a pretty good idea of what you're doing, but you could always download an OS from a torrent site such as isohunt.com or thepiratebay.org. Not the most legal way of doing it, it's really pretty dark grey area, but it is pretty effective
Hi, DSC-W35 / 55 is plug and play camera, hook it with computer through USB cable, Windows will recognize it automatically and will install required drivers. You will see Mass Storage device icon in My Computer, click it to see pictures of camera. No need of software cd installation, Windows has inbuilt drivers for this camera. Thanks.
? leave more detail but you can either use a cd/rw or dvd rw disc. plug in camera to computers usb and then put a blank cd in your disc drive use your favorite cd writing software and you want to make " data disc or slide show" either one should suit you
You have to make certain that the system BIOS are set correctly to boot your CD drive first. If you BOOT sequence is set correctly any cd that is bootable should begin to boot first. So try I believe to depress F2 when you boot up your PC for the first time this takes you into the system setup. System BIOS, goto the boot menu and change the settings to make certain that your CD drive is the first to boot. When you reboot your PC make certaint the CD is in the drive before you reboot. In addition you will quickly see a sentence pop up asking you if you would like to begin setup, and if so, depress any key to boot from cd. This should start the process for you!
