MY SANSA M240 KEEPS SAYING, "BATTERY LOW, POWERING DOWN". WHEN I TEST THE BATTERY IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GREEN RANGE. IT WILL ONLY STAY ON IF IT IS A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND ONLY WORKS FOR ABOUT 4 HOURS BEFORE IT SHUTS DOWN. AND THAT IS WITH BRAND NEW DURACELL AAA'S.

Hey,
Try these steps, if they aren't of any help, you may have to have the vendor replace your mp3 player.
SOLUTION 1 - Reset the device.
1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power/Menu button.
3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.

SOLUTION 2 - Power cycle the device.

STEP 1 - Remove the battery

STEP 2 - Power cycle the player
1. Connect the device to the PC.
2. Leave the device connected for about 2 minutes.

STEP 3 - Turn on the device
1. Disconnect the player from the PC.
2. Insert a fresh AAA battery into the player.
3. Turn on the player.

Sansa clip went dead

Slide the power button on your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player up.

  • 2 Hold the power button on your Sansa in the up position for about 15 seconds. This action serves as a powering down of the Sansa device.
  • 3 Wait for your Sansa MP3 player to restart and let go of the power button. Actions taken during your last operation since powering down normally have been deleted and your player is now reset.

Sansa m240 player plays maybe one song with new batteries

Mine's a clip, but same problem. When I plugged it in, we compared it against my sisters, and a file was missing. See if anyone you know has the same player, and try to transfer the file if this is the same problem as mine

    Regarding sansa battery

Battery is rechargeable by plugging into computer. 19 hours is probably not right - more like 8 or 9.

    Frozen screen

Hold down the power button for 20 or more seconds; when you release the power button, the Sansa Connect will restart on its own. If it doesn't restart, you did not hold down the power button long enough -- try again.

Make sure there's a battery in the player. This doesn't work when it is plugged into the USB port.

    M240 sansa mp3

try removing the battery of the player for around an hour then put the battery back in. If it still freezes on that part maybe your songs are corrupted try reformatting the player.
