Question about HP ScanJet 2400 Flatbed Scanner
My HP Scanjet 2400 stops to scan when its has scanned
a quater of the page and a loud noise comes from the
scanner to stop the noise iI have to put off the power
of the scanner then when again I give the power there
is a tapping noise with the Light goes back to its place please solve my problen I will be very much thankful to you
Step 1. Pl check whether the scanner is placed on an even surface and secondly remove the power plug of the scanner and open the cabinet of the scanner, remove the upper glass portion, reattach the power plug and click on the hp director icon and let the scanner scan without any document. now keep an eye on the belt of the scanner (that moves the lens up and down), if it is touching something in between you would get a clear view of what is the cause of the interruption.
