Question about Panasonic SV-MP020 MP3 Player
Here is the link to the user manual if you need it; http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SVMP010.PDF Check page 32 - is the hold function on? Check page 31 - carry out a reset if it will let you. Check the notes on page 28 - maybe this was the cause of the problem. if it doesn't let you reset, then you may have to try formatting it from the PC as a last resort - this is not recommended. Is there still a warranty on the player? Hope this helps :)

Did you try to format it from a PC? what was the result? also if you plug it into a PC what message comes up?
:)
What operating system are you using on your PC? If windows XP then plug in the player, open "My computer" then right click on the player icon and select "Format".
Panasonic recommend strongly that you don't do this. But it may work. You might need to reflash the player afterwards with it's firmware package.
I would recommend getting it serviced first, as there are all sorts of problems that could be caused.
Sorry no "quick-fix" available. If you decide to try formatting, I would appreciate knowing the result.
Good luck :)

This did not seem to work on it. I have the warranty on the mp3 player but no receipt so I am not able to return it. Any other ideas?
How do you format it on the computer?
I tried to format it but when I plug it in to my computer it doesnt recognize my mp3 player.
