ER!!! Everytime I try to play a CD "Er" comes on the screen everytime!!! Please if anybody has this problem and has fixed it!! Please lend a helping hand!!

    My portable player at first showed an "Er" message with just 1 cd I was trying; but seems problem now has spread to all cds .

Nope I'm afraid that when this happens, the slider motor is bad, the spindle motor is bad, or the laser pick-up assembly needs to be replaced. You can replace this unit for about 20 bucks. A laser pickup for this unit will cost about 25 to 35 bucks + labor!. See mt point? Good Luck

Have you try a Cleaning Disk. Maybe you can use a compress air can (usually sell in pc/electronics stores) and clening up the laser lens. Check for dirty on discs, water drops or scratches. Try another CD

Error message
Check and see if there is a fuse on the back of the unit if so check it to make sure that it is not blown. Also make sure that it is at least a 25 - 30amp fuse. If that is not it the make sure you have the power wires hooked up right. See a Er-05 message means that the power that that unit needs is not there. So it will not read all cd's. It takes more power to read a burner than a normal cd. Hopefully this helps
