SHOULD NOT BE SPRAYING FUEL OUT THE END. TURN THE PRESSURE DOWN BY TURNING THE FLAT HEAD ADJUSTMENT SCREW COUNTER CLOCKWISE IN SMALL INCRIMENTS.

sounds like the ignitor is bad, mine would try to light and do the same thing. I noticed one night that it was arcing out the entire length of the wires to the plug. If you have a good spark then i would suggest a CAD flame sensor, very cheap.

If...the air pump pressure is right, the ignitor glows, the fuel is hitting the ignitor, then the unit will have combustion......unless.....

there is an air leak on the pressure line
there is a vacuum leak on the fuel line
there is a leak at the nozzle adapter
there is a restriction either in the nozzle or the fuel filter
the nozzle is worn and is spraying fuel rather than fogging fuel

You don't say, but I am assuming that the motor is running and there is combustion in the combustion chamber and the heater is running fine, then the reset trips. Is this correct? If so, chances are the Safety Control (reset) is defective. Part number HA3003. The photocell could also be at fault. Check for a dirty lense on the photocell.

But---If there is no combustion in the chamber, then the photocell detects a no-flame condition and then it trips the reset.

100,000 btu reddy heater runs but smokes alot and you can smell raw fuel what's wrong

It sounds like the fuel is contaminated,if it is not k 1 kerosene ,or grade A diesel fuel,this could be the problem,clean the tank,and start with a k 1 kerosene,and see if it clears up,then go back to the grade A diesel fuel,if this does not work,replace the filter in the tank,and check the intake air filter,make sure it is not cloded up,or behind the filter,last thing ,only after checking and doing all of this,the pump pressure may need adjusting,but do not try this with out a pressure gauge,and a manual .You can break the pump easy.I have a manual for the ready heater,just let me no if you need it,please rate,thank yopu,> [email protected]

When filled with kerosene then plugged in, the heater will kick on for about 3 seconds and the fan will run but it will not ignite, then it shuts off. reddy heater 55, 55000btu. runs on K1 or fuel oil.

The igniter is most likely bad.Make sure the igniter is not working,and the pump for the fuel is working,one,or the other is not working,if it is the fuel,order a new pump kit,with impelar,and if it is the igniter,replace it with a new one.

I have an older 100,000 btu Reddy unit that was pulsing. Put new diesel in and problem went away for awhile. Now pulsing again.

might have a clogged fuel filter. try to drain and replace. run fresh fuel. the pulse also could come from too much fuel causing a burst in the main heat exchanger. if this heater is older than ten years i would trash it and buy a new one so you dont blow up

You Must set the pump pressure quickly! If allowed to run with the nose cone a "bright" cherry red the welds will deterioate to the point that the end will separate from the combustion chamber. Individual sheet metal parts of the chamber are not available.

Won't light/stay on

It may be the spark plug (or the ignition module). On my Reddy Heater 50K BTU, there are six metal screws that join the top of torpedo tube to the bottom. Remove these,and the top of the tube casing. The spark plug should be in plain sight.

Turn the unit on and look for spark. If it's not firing, replace the plug. If it still doesn't fire, you may need to replace the ignition module (it's what is "connected to the spark plug via the fat ignition wire.")
