First roll down the quick menu from the top of the screen and see if the Blue Shade is on, if it is turn it off. If is is off then you can go to the settings from there and go to Accessibility at the complete bottom on the left side and from there yo can adjust Color Inversion and Color Correction. However, it sounds like the Blue Shade has been turned on.
Liquid Crystal Display - LCD There is a Flo recent light that shines behind the screen. This light is what passes through the window or LCD when the shades are open or partly opened. Think of each colored individual LCD (pixel) as a Window Shade. You have pixels that are made up of 1-red, 1- green and 1-blue light shade. Your main control board will tell each light shade how much/far to open each colored light shade so it will make the color it needs to. If the shades are closed (black) if the shades are all open (white) Hope this helps.
FIRST DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE OF TV IS HOW TO GO ABOUT TROUBLESHOOTING IT. BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR BULB/CRT/SCREEN LCDS MIGHT NEED TO BE REPLACED OR FIXED OR RE-JUVED. AGAIN THIS ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF TV YOU HAVE.
If you're using component video (red/green/blue rca cables) one of the colors may be disconnected, or the wires may be swapped into the wrong color input. If you are using a 15 pin VGA connector, one of the pins may not be getting good contact at the source or at the projector. Or if the VGA cable is split into 5-wire to make a long cable run, one of the five wires may be disconnected. Any of these problems will cause a global color shift while not affecting the color of the projector's on screen menus.
You need to remove the front tv panel, search for the screws right behind the screen and speaker area on the sides of tv. Should be four of them, carefully remove the lower have/quarter and you will find a control box, 6 knobs. Try adjusting them to clear the problem, each color has its own knob, be sure to mark their original position befor adjusting. When you find the red adjustment knob, you should be able to turn it down enough so that it doesnt overpower the rest of the colors. Good luck.
Using the on screen menu, check the hue or wall color settings.
[Hue]
Varies the color level from +/- green to +/-blue. The red level is used as reference. This adjustment is only valid for
Video, Component and TV standard inputs (not valid for RGB and DVI digital).
Using the Wall Color Correction [Wall Color]
This function allows for quick adaptive color correction in applications where the screen material is not white.
