Uploading videos with sound

I took a video and uploaded it to my computer but it has no sound...is there any way to recover the sound or any way to take a video on the camera that will make sure it has sound when I upload it?

If you have Windows Vista, chances are the sound codec needed to play sound for Samsung S630 is missing. In my case, I needed a codec called Mu-Law. You can check to see what codec is needed by downloading GSpot.
Try downloading K-Lite codec pack at:
codecs
.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm">http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
To check the identity of needed sound codec, download GSpot:
codecs.com/GSpot_download.htm">http://www.free-codecs.com/GSpot_download.htm

When installing K-Lite, during configuration, make sure the Mu-Law codec option is activated.
In order to save the video to a DVD with MovieMaker or other windows video burning programs, you'll have to convert the video from .avi to another popular format. Samsung isn't really compatible with Vista. I used a trial version of Prism Convertor.

When downloading video files to PC, the Software CD needs to be installed first to the PC because a video file is requiring some CODES that are contained in the Software.

But the software to be installed needs to be compatible with your PC's operating system like Windows XP, 98, etc...

Usually, the OS wherein the disc is compatible with is written on the disc itself.

For MAC and Windows Vista users, the disc may not be compatible with your PC, but you could try using any applications that you may have with your OS to play the videos.

If it still does not work, you may download freely a movie player that will work for all OS through videolan.org

How to convert pinnacle video and upload to youtube?

Hi Follow the below instructions.
Getting Started: How to upload Print Once you've finished editing your video, made sure it's less than 10 minutes, smaller than 2GB in size, and in an acceptable format, you're ready to upload it.
  • Click the product_upload_languagecode.gif button in the upper-right-hand corner of any YouTube page.
  • Click the "Browse" button to browse for the video file you'd like to upload to our site. Select the file you want to upload.
  • Click the 'Upload Video' button to start the uploading process.
  • As the video file is uploading, enter as much information about your video as possible in the relevant fields (including Title, Description, Tags, and Category). You're not required to provide specific information, but the more information you include, the easier it is for users to find your video!
  • Click the 'Save changes' button to save the updates you've made to the video file.
It can take from a couple minutes to an hour for your video to upload to YouTube. If you're receiving an error with your Upload, you might want to make sure you're attempting to upload a file that's recognized by YouTube. YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, and .MPG file formats.
bulb.gifPlease note: your video must meet our uploading requirements: no larger than 2GB and no more than 10 minutes in length. If your video does not meet these requirements you will need to re-edit the video file on your computer then upload the new file to our site.
Have more than one video file to upload?
Not a problem! You can upload up to 10 video files in a single uploading session.

Unable to Load software

Did you try uploading using a firewire card and firewire cable? It is an alternative to USB and is the most preferred way of transferring video from the camcorder these days. Also did you try uploading the video using windows movie maker? COnnect your camcorder to your computer and press the capture from camera option to capture the video on your camcorder to your computer. If you have already tried everything then the simplest way to transfer is to remove the 1.5" hard drive connect it to your computer(your computer should have SATA connector), transfer the video and put the hard drive back into the camcorder. Might sound crazy but its a very effective way considering the fact that it is quite easy to remove the hard disk from most camcorders.

Let me know if you need more help,
Sai.

Regarding your files got deleted, you might selected the option to move the files from your camera to your computer instead of copy the files.

Hope this helps.
