If you have Windows Vista, chances are the sound codec needed to play sound for Samsung S630 is missing. In my case, I needed a codec called Mu-Law. You can check to see what codec is needed by downloading GSpot.
Try downloading K-Lite codec pack at:
codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm">http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
To check the identity of needed sound codec, download GSpot:
codecs.com/GSpot_download.htm">http://www.free-codecs.com/GSpot_download.htm
When installing K-Lite, during configuration, make sure the Mu-Law codec option is activated.
In order to save the video to a DVD with MovieMaker or other windows video burning programs, you'll have to convert the video from .avi to another popular format. Samsung isn't really compatible with Vista. I used a trial version of Prism Convertor.

When downloading video files to PC, the Software CD needs to be installed first to the PC because a video file is requiring some CODES that are contained in the Software.
But the software to be installed needs to be compatible with your PC's operating system like Windows XP, 98, etc...
Usually, the OS wherein the disc is compatible with is written on the disc itself.
For MAC and Windows Vista users, the disc may not be compatible with your PC, but you could try using any applications that you may have with your OS to play the videos.
If it still does not work, you may download freely a movie player that will work for all OS through videolan.org

You may download Remote Service driver in SamsungCameraUSA.com and install it in your PC.

Dear Sweetie17n, Does the sound work when played back in the camera? Make sure your various sound options are unmuted in your computer. -j.
