No Display My display doesn't work or none of the buttons on the panel except for the "Back" button. When i unplug the unit the power button doesn't turn it on, just the "Back" button and it beeps once as the display turns on and off, constantly.....Please help!

The display microprocessor(computer within your unit) may be bad. This IC is responsible for processing any and all IR(infra red) commands from the remote, as well as scanning all the push buttons on the front of the unit. Try factory reset: while holding the(CD) button on front panel,press (POWER) button.
After "Clear" is displayed the unit should be back to its factory default. :) If this dont work for you take the unit to be checked by service . :)

what did you end up doing? i have the same problem.

to complete reset, it need pressing couple buttons by combination. if all buttons mulfunction, no way to do this function. does unit have front panel display?

Completely removing the unit from the power source by unplugging it for a few minutes worked for mine.

According to the manufacturer, to reset the entire unit do the following:
1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel +" on the TV. 2. Using other hand, press the power button. 3. A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen. 4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and select. 5. Power off and re-boot the computer 6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

You can reset your viewsonic remote control by removing the batteries, and holding the power button down for 10 seconds. Just 10 minutes ago I repaired my remote, which was doing absolutely nothing, not even turning the set off and on, Called Viewsonic, they told me this, and it worked ! Yay !

Took off back and found unplugged cable. Repluged cable and it works like new.

only 1 reason for that faults :

there is a flat connects the top panel which has all the controls with the other circutes in the stereo...
so you have to open it and care for the cd unit it damage easily then check the flat for loseness or cuts
it happened to me also and that works perfectly
