Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

PS2 I am Deaf male, it's mine first time to post. I had to because I am frustration wit PS2.. The problem is, every time, I play any CD game as such like "The Warriors", it went good for 10 to 15 min, then it freeze and say "loading data". I only turn power on for 10 to 15 min. I been looking for some help related issues is "loading data", so I post here to see if any of you guys help me out?.. Thank you for read and a cooperation.

I'm wondering how old your ps2 is. unfortunately as with anything, electronic, age tends to make things break down. have you tried loading just a normal cd or dvd that isn't a game. if you try that, and it still dosn't work, it could be as simple as a loose connection on the inside of your ps2... or as complicated as the laser in the drive being screwed up. could even be another issue that dosn't come to mind. I hope you figure it out though, sorry I'm not more help. Good luck

Mine did the same thing. The laser for the PS2 games, and DVD's died. I guarentee that it plays CD's and PS1 games perfectly. if so, the laser needs replaced. and what you have to do is order one on Ebay or something, and have some one put it in. I put a new laser in mine, and well, I am watching a DVD on it right now.

Yes, it can play DVD movies as well as Music CD'S and CD-R's music. You dont have to buy another machine. One tip thou when using it as a DVD plyr you might put it where ventilation can get to it - due to the overheating problem PS2 has. I use mine all the time, and I put a fan next to it, so I can play longer and watch movies longer. I hope this helps. Good Luck.

My PS2 wont play DVD movies

Mine did the same thing "ps2 Glitch" The dvd player goes bad in them and the system will never again play dvd's just game's "get worn out" is what the company told me. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE WARRENTY Fustrating But I have 2 that only play game's and one that still is holding out. SRY time to buy another one

My dynasty warrior 6 game for ps2 doesnt work but my other games do. can the game be played on ps2?

Make sure its not a ps3 game as ps3 games dont work on the ps2 console and also make sure there are no scatches on the disc.

Sorry =(.............well...i dont think that u can save it on a ps2 memory card........maybe if u put a ps1 memory card in the ps2........idk

Can't play online

I know on a game i had, It had 2 separate logins, you first log in to the PS2 Network, THEN log in to the EA network, Its frustrating indeed but once your logged in twice, you can play.

Your ps2 needs to be fixed, gow 1 and 2 are dual layered discs and alot of ps2 originals and slims have trouble playing it, trying calling sony and they can usually fix it for about $45, the laser in your ps2 is worn. Hope this helps :)

i have had the same problem and i just kept using my disc cleaner and polisher and after a few times it work. if that didn't work get a laser disc cleaner for your ps2

PS2 Console Problem

My ps2 actually did this for a long time. Either it "Died" as they say, or something is wrong with the internal part of the ps2. If you open it properly, there is a white gear you'll find. This keeps the cd, and a few other things on track. Turn this gear to the left 3-5 ticks. Close the ps2 and it should be fixed. If you have anymore problems post it please.
