HP printer Model 3320

This printer has been barely used in the three years it sat in my motor home. Now have a new (with Vista) laptop and the printer does not respond to printing commands. The laptop recognizes the printer but the the printer does not respond. HP tells me the printer is the problem (too old) but can be fixed on line (for the cost of a new one). That tells me it's a software issue with the printer. Does that make sense? Anyone know how to address the problem? Any input appreciated. Roger

If it is software problem try installing default drivers for HP deskjet 3500 from within vista itself. Solved my problem. May the force be with you.

The print Head has gone bad. Not using a printer that often will dry out the print head. The print head is where the ink goes. Try to get a cue tip and put some Alcohol in the place where the ink goes through. These should be small sponge like things underneath the ink cartridges.

We installed the hp 3320 software on our new laptop. when we print items it sends it to the printer; however its printing blank. the cartridge is full. how can we fix this problem?

The problem is a "clogged" ink-path -- the ink is not getting sucked ("stucked" without the 'T') into the ink-jet mechanism, and is not getting sprayed onto the paper.

Use the HP Printing Assistant software to run a "head-cleaning" cycle, to see if the clogging can be done.

P.S. FIXYA _censors_ some words, e.g., 'calm' is OK, but switching the middle letters to be: ****
will be censored. :-)

Lost Scanner Driver for HP Laserjet 3320

The drivers for the 3300-series are right on HP's website. The link below is for Windows, OS X, and Linux. If problems continue, look further down the driver page for the OCR libraries.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=66364&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=66359&lang=en&cc=us&submit=Go%20%C2%BB

If the link above is broken, go to http://www.hp.com/#Support and type in your hardware's model number or series number (e.g. Laserjet 3320, Laserjet 3300 series)

I REFILLED THE BLACK (C8727) , AND THE COLOR (C8728) ,

Go to:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=75035&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

Select Vista (or Vista 64-bit if you are using the 64-bit version) and download the appropriate drivers from there. These drivers should give you access to all of the necessary maintenance options including resetting ink levels (tell the driver you are installing new cartridges, remove and reinstall the existing cartridges to make it do the reset).

Test page coming out green indicates a problem with the ink cartridges since it should be using the black cart for most of the page.

I have a new computer and i can't get my #3320 hp deskjet on line i do not have the download disc can you help thanks bob [email protected]

You can download the driver here, directly from HP.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=75035&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=0&submit.x=0&lang=en&cc=us

Choose your operating system from the list, and download.

Please note that if you are using Windows Vista, HP has very limited Vista support for that model.

Also, be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing the software, and ONLY plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.

My HP Printer Deskjet 3320 is not working with Windows Vista

You can follow Hp's Installing and Configuring an Alternate Driver in Windows Vista. Click this link provided by HP.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00808478&lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&dlc=en&product=75035

Before you follow though with Hp's alternet driver site. Please run windows update for Vista un till no updates are left. If your printer still fails to run correctly than try HP's alternate drive.

Good luck & kind regaurds..
