Question about Philips Magnavox 9P6034C 60" Rear Projection Television
The picture is horrible.can hardly see picture in daytime try ajusting the color doesn't help.someone the crt might need drain and replace.how much and where do I go to get it.
You can also check to see if you have bad fluid problems, by looking down in your crt's with a flashlight when you unplug your set and see if you can notice any particles that should not be there. Look at all three and see if there is a difference. It should be clear, if not then you need to change fluid and clean.

It sounds as if one of the picture elements (there are probably 3 for R-red G-green B-blue) has gone bad and it is most likely the green one. Sad to say it will probably cost you more to have it fixed than it would to buy a new TV. Most places will not even look at a TV for less than $85 or so, then they will add parts and labor... if they can even find parts.

I have a similar problem, if not the same. Except my TV is older. It definately needs the cooling liquid replaced, bacause there are a lot of particles. But what is the liquid called? and where can I get it? can I just use mineral oil?
I have the same problem hard to see picture to much red in the picture making it very dark. Please let me know what to do. Should I buy a new TV. I tried to the color and it doesn't work.
