The solution was to go into the maintenance menu
    and reset the fuser counter.
You go into this menu by holding down the 'menu' and 'form feed 'keys as you switch on, you then toggle to the appropriate section.

There definitely must be a setting to reset the fuser counter. I cant tell you where to look as I am not familiar enough with that model. Check in the counter menus or the maintenance menus, or a reset menu.

I belive the SVC F4 error indicates the fuser fan is not functioning.
Check the fan is connected correctly, also check if the fan is working.
If the fan is not working it may need ot be replaced, alternativly it may be a IOD1 Board or the MCTL board

Replace Fuser Reset

For the MFC 8860, I turned off the printer. I help down menu. I turned on the computer. It entered Maintenance mode. I typed in 88 (Parts Replacement.) I scrolled to the fuser, clicked ok. Then, I turned off the printer. When I turned the printer on, it said that I needed to replace my laser. I then turned the printer off, help down menu, turned the printer on, typed in 88 at the maintenance menu (parts replacement), scrolled down to laser, and hit ok. I then turned the printer on and off, and poof, now it works. I find it quite unscrupulous that I had a replace PF Kit1, replace Fuser, and replace laser messages all within one hour...

Tray 1 - load ltr (WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!!!)

Hi,

Hope this helps. Please check the printer properties before clicking Ok at print menu command. Now check the available paper tray handler. Try bypass, tray1 or MP tray.

Check also the default paper on Printer Menu command by pressing appropriate setup button. You can try also placing the paper on bypass try if available. The load LTR message means the machine waits a short bond paper on MP tray or on bypass tray.

Best regards,
Rosener

Machine Error 76

Machine error 76 is a bad fuser lamp. Machine error 78 is a bad thermistor. Machine error 77 means you hade either a Machine error 76 or Machine error 78 and turned the machine off.
Sometimes the machines will give a false code and can be reset. Unplug machine. Hold down the Menu key while powering back up. You should still get a Machine error message. Enter the number 9...The display should change to Maintenance 9 then enter 1. The Machine error will return. Enter 99 and then make a test print. If you get either a machine error 76 or 78 you will need to have service done on your machine to have either the lamp or thermistor replaced, and depending on the usage of the machine, it might not be a bad idea to replace the entire fuser.

Tray1:A4 SVC L1 ERROR

I too have just bought a 2nd hand printer (Tally T8006) that also worked well until the fuser oil seemingly has to 'swamped' everywhere and which now throws up the same error code as above. Will attempt to 'dry it out' and see if the code clears. Have also recently sourced an original installation CD, will check out fault codes when it arrives - Gazz

Error Message ('replace belt CG')

To reset page counter after replacing the OPC belt or FC Roller please follow the steps below:
  1. Power the printer on while holding down MENU/ENTER key
  2. Release the key when the display shows "Utility Menu Clear FC Roll"
  3. If you have replaced the FC Roller then select this option by pressing MENU/ENTER key. If you have replaced the OPC belt then change this option by pressing MEDIA key so the display changes to "Utility Menu Clear Belt CG".
  4. When one of these options is selected Press the MENU/ENTER key and the display will change to "Utility Menu Clear FC. Roll/ Clear Belt CG Not Execute". Press the MEDIA key and the display will change to "Execute"
  5. Press the MENU/ENTER key and after about 10 seconds the display will change to "Completed Clear FC. Roll / Belt CG"
  6. Now power the printer off and after waiting few seconds power it on again, after it's initial self-diagnosis the printer should now work normally without the error message.
