Msvcr80.dll file I am running windows Me and i'm trying to reinstall yahoo IM, i had it once before and deleted it. now when i try to reinstall it, and error box pops up and says, "A required .DLL file, MSVCR80.DLL was not found" what do i need to do?? need the easiest solution please, i'm not to computer literate. thank you very much for any help you can give. More likely it's corrupted. The msvcr80.dll is an executable file on your computer's hard drive used by programs written with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. In the vast majority of cases, the solution is to properly reinstall msvcr80.dll on your PC, to the Windows system folder. msvcr80.dll is a Microsoft Visual C Runtime file. Try to eliminate the .dll file first as being the culprit. Type in "download msvcr80.dll" in any search engine, download it, save it to your desktop. Using windows search, locate msvcr80.dll on your system, (usually in c:\windows\system32) and rename it to msvcr.dll.old, then copy the newer file to the same location as the oler one, the reinstall your suspect program, reboot, then try to run the program again.

The file you download was corrupted and need to re download the installer. Also a recommendation is to get a new OS (Operating System) since Microsoft has stated that was there worst OS ever made. That is also a problem :(. Sorry to give you that info but i would redownload the installer
