If the red light on ur charger flashes you need to call tech support and tell them you have a bad battery. They will take your information and have you send in your battery. They will replace the battery for you if it is less than one year old.

I called casio and they told me that when you have a red flashing light on the charger it means the lithium battery is no longer any good. They offered to send me one free of charge. It's been several weeks and I have yet to receive it.
Mine won't turn on...unless I hit the red button, then the menu button, then repeat...the red, then the menu. When the menu comes up, it wants to reset the date/time etc. I just ignore that and hit the menu button once more and it's ready to shoot. Pain in the you know what. No more Casio cameras.
I have a casio exilim ex-z60 which I bought 2 yrs ago. I've had problems with my flash going off each time I turned on and off the camera, about 5 months ago. Now the flash does not work. Need help on how to restore the flash bulb or battery in the camera.
Here is how you fix the problem (without using a 9V battery method...).
The battery doesn't charge because it's been fully discharged.
What you do is you put the camera into the cradle. Now you see that the Red LED comes on solid for a while. It's charging for a few seconds. Then it starts blinking. When it does that - TAKE THE CAMERA OUT of the cradle.
Now put the camera back and repeat. Do this six or eight times. Each time what's happening is that the battery is getting a tiny bit of charge. After 8 times the LED will come on red and stay solid red.
