I have had this television for a few years. This past month it started making an awful sound. I thought the speakers were messed up. A few days ago the screen and everything went out. No sound or picture, but the unit gets power. You can turn it on but the screen does not get a signal nor sound from the speakers. I took off the cover and checked the fuses with no luck. Any advice?

The power supply may have failed. Also, it is possible that there is a failure in the HV section.
You will have to take the set in for an estimate. This is something that I doubt you can fix yourself at home. The set will require troubleshooting by an experienced tech.

the picture getting darker means the lamp has aged and u need to replace it another thing u need ti replace the mirrors in the light tunnel of the light engine they have faded secondly the noise means the colour wheel has aged you need to replace it u will have to replace the whole light engine cos the color wheel comes inbuilt the light engine and u will be ok ontact lg dealer in your area
already at the end of its expected life! LG and a few other brands rarely get past the 18 months without a major repair being needed on the power board and the color control engine......
You have a break down on the power input and the sustain boards. Not a recommended DIY Cost to fix this is in the vicinity of $300+
I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.
the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.
