Where do i find a print head for my mp760?

Hi,

You can find the Printheads at any departmental/computer sales and service center stores. Bestbuy, Costco, Walmart or Office Depot usually stores the accessories and parts for Canon printers.

You need to mention the Printer model and the Printhead(s) that you want to order.

Nozzle test does not show pattern for either BLACK output; deep clean does not correct problem. both catridges have plenty ink. color displays are ok.

CANON MP780 BLACK DOES NOT PRINT

This is what works for me. Try at your own risk. I cleaned both areas.

CLEAN PRINTHEAD:

Perform a nozzle check using the Canon software under "maintenance." If the nozzle check prints successfully, the problem is most likely not with the printhead. Otherwise, 1) Lift up the lever above the ink cartridges. Take the ink cartridges out. Put them in a plastic zip lock bag. 2) The container in which the ink cartridges sit is removable. The container is inside the moving mechanism. The container is the printhead. Tilt it slightly and pull up. This should come out easily. 3) There are round pads under which the ink cartridges sit in the printhead you removed. The large one is black. On the underside of the printhead are small slits. The **** separated from the others is black. Fill a syringe with Windex. a. Run warm water over the printhead until no more ink comes out. b. Fill the areas where the round pads are with Windex. c. Set the printhead on some paper towels. The liquid will soak through and come out the underside along with the ink. Repeat steps a-c until no more ink comes out, but at least 10 times. 4) Let the print head sit and dry for two hours. Put everything back in the printer. Unplug the printer. Plug in the printer. Turn the printer off. Turn the printer on. Do a clean cycle.

CLEAN PURGE MECHANISM:

You will need a light. 1) Unplug the printer and move the printhead all the way to the left. On the far right are two rectangular basins. The smaller one is black. Take your fingernail or a tweezers and lift out the sponge pad (do not drop it). Soak the sponge pad in Windex until it turns white. Plug in the printer. 2) Fill a syringe with Windex. a. Fill the basin with liquid. b. Let it soak for 5 minutes. c. Turn the printer off. d. Turn the printer on. Repeat steps a-d until you see a small hole in the basin. e. Put the syringe over the hole and fill the basin, pushing the liquid into the hole. f. Let it soak for 5 minutes. g. Turn the printer off. h. Turn the printer on. Repeat steps e-h 5 to 10 times. 3) Put the sponge pad back in using your fingers (do not drop it). Unplug the printer. Plug in the printer. Turn the printer off. Turn the printer on. Do a clean cycle.

My MP760 has

If your cartridges are not the problem, follow the instructions, but if you suspect your cartridges, please replace them. Clean both the Cartridges's Head and the Cartridges interface on the printer. Blow away all the dust and clean whatever you can. Reboot the printer, this will solve your problem.

Canon mp760 printer overflow full, have parts and service manual. Need code to get going again

there is no need to change the ink absorbing sponges at all ,,as i hve solved this problem myself for many of my clients i m sure that it will work for u too if followed properly step by step:

It could be due to "waste tank full" alarm; you may need to reset the waste tank counter.
reset sequence for a MP760 printer that works for F30 and F50 as well. Try:
Resetting the Waste Ink Volume Counter
1) Enter SERVICE MODE.---
By pressing Menu-Copy-#
2) Select TEST MODE.
3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE.
4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].
5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].
6) Press the [OK] key.
7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key.

ur printer absorber will reset and will work properly and u will be back to work.try doing it one more time if u miss something .
please take a moment to rate the solution after u get ur problem solved

Canon Pixma mp760 - won't power up or initialize

I found this on another forum it'll clear the EEPROM so give it a go.

MP750 / MP780 waste ink counter reset instructions..

1. Service menu: Menu -> Scan -> Copy -> Scan (one at a time in sequence)
2. Select "TEST MODE"
3. Select "[8] ETC.."
4. Select "[4] EEPROM CLEAR"
5. Select "[1] INK COUNT"
6. Press the [OK] button.
7. Press the [Stop/Reset] button (returns you to the TEST MOD sub-menu))
8. press the [ON/OFF] button (which resets the printer)

TIP: Don't rush the printer as it can often take considerable time to respond to your commands. Frantic button pressing will just push the printer into snail mode (ie: slow as heck!).

Patience :)

Hope that helps... :)
