My save file on pokemon diamond is deleted when im not playing it

im sorry but i dont think you can fix this, mine packed up aswell just as im at lugia in pokemon silver :( but mine froze i didnt see this game pak thing im sorry, you'll have to start a new game, i know how it feels :(

that happens to me a lot it does that once and a while dont get frustrated

Far as I know coming from former GameBoys even to the DS. The game itself is not saved upon the actual Game itself, but the System or in the case the Gameboy. If he had played the game before most likely it is a previous saved gamed he palyed or someone else. All pokemon games have a common point, that you can only play one game at a time, if you try to start a new game, the previous saved game is deleted after saving on a new game. Granted that I have not played the newer verisons of the Pokemon, but if they are anything like the older verions. Emerald, Ruby, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Etc. They will delete the game once a new game is started and saved.

it's not possible to get back the saved file..... for some reason that happens a lot on ds/ds lites..... there is nothing wrong with the emerald game. try playing emerald on a GBA.

Sorry to say,your friend might not be able to recover it.If it is possible,then I think you should get a super pro expert,not on here.Maybe try Nintendo or whoever the game was made by.

The ds lite or the pokemon diamon game might of been damaged before u got them

Most of the save game issues have to do with the onboard battery dieing. If this happens, your save game will persist for a few hours and then vanish.

Well, I have had to delete a game before. Stay at the screan with DIALGA on it. Press the combination then go into "New Game". KK? It works, I have done it.

that is normal duncan.. that's the point of the whole "Migration" thing. It transfers the 6 pokemons from the emerald/sapphire/ruby/leaf green/fire red to diamond/pearl. after you migrated it, it will be totally lost from the emerald/etc.. and when i say totally, i meant PERMANENTLY gone. so i think the best way is that you have to clone them first(search cheats on how to clone pokemon), then migrate the clones or the original ones to your pearl/diamond.

okay you have to go to new game and press A and it would pop up some message that you already have a saved file so at the title screen where you see that pokemon dialga or whatever at that point press Up/start/B and it should say do you wish to delete the previous Pokemon diamond file and Press A to confirm.
