I recently bought a Motorola Razr V3 and the speaker doesn't work. It won't play sounds of any variety, no MP3s, no ringtones, nothing. I've made sure that it wasn't on silent or vibrate, I've done a master reset and a master clear. Can anyone help? Please?
The speaker needs to be replaced.THE SPEAKER is located in the bottom section of the phone. You;ll have to remaove the bottom section with a t6 screwdriverand replace the speaker in this section.

That means your earpiece speaker is out. It could either be damaged or just dirty. The easiest way is to file an insurance claim. But if you are good with electronics you can take it apart and replace the speaker. However on some of the V3 models the earpiece speaker is a part of the LCD and cannot be individually replaced.
You'll need the motorola software compatible with the v3 and the connection wire. I bought mine on ebay for around $10 and it came with a cd loaded with ringtones, mp3s and pics.
I have a sprint razr and this is what I did. First you go to the menu and click on settings. once you are at settings click on sounds. Then click on volume and scroll down until you get to power on and click on that and from there you can turn off that sound.
Where can I get a new speaker??
