Lost password i have a play station 2 and it plays movies. i put a movie in my playstation and it had a 4 digit passcode i had to put in but i tried all the numbers i could possibly could think of so i tried to change the code to something else but i can't unless i find the other code. do you know how i could get pass this or how to change it some how? please and thank you!

1. Insert a movie into the Playstation 2 2. When the ?Enter Password? screen appears, press the "select" button 3. Enter 7444 as the password to reset (7444 is the default by Sony) 4. Next, enter a new password 5. Confirm new password You're done. Good luck.

1. Insert a DVD Movie into the PlayStation®2.
2. You should receive a message informing you that the Parental Level has been set, and asking if youý"d like to allow the disc to play. Highlight "Yes" and then press the X button.
3. A new window will appear asking you to temporarily change the Parental Control to a different level. Again, highlight "Yes", and then press the X button.
4. Another window will appear asking you to enter your Password. Above that window are numbers (0-9).
5. Do not enter your password, but instead, press the select button on your Controller. This will change the text in the window from "Enter Password" to "Delete Password".
6. Using the numbers above the window, input 7444. If successful, you will receive a message stating "Deletion Complete".
7. Press Select. You will now be asked to register a new password. Please select a four-digit code of your choosing.
8. You will be asked to confirm your password selection by inputting the same code once again. If successful, you will receive a message stating "Registration Confirmed".
9. Now you need to turn off the password altogether. The movie should of started playing by now. Press select and chose Setup. Go to the parental control "tab" and set the level to "off".
10. Now you should be able to watch any movie

Will Not play the Blu-Ray disc
Silly anti priacy stuff. Doesnt even stop the pirates...

You just need to get the update, through it on a usb stick and update your ps3. Here is a link to the update and instructions. Hope it helps.

How do resest playstation 2 movie setting
This is a parental code or a region code I am leaning its a parent block and if this is the case to reset this would take you calling sony themselfs for the defualt reset code witch I beleave is 4 0000's but if the is a newer one it would not hurt to give them a call.

Forgot the code to allow movies to play on play station
press 'select' button, enter 7444. enter new password, then re-enter new password. 7444 deletes previous password.

Playing of pirated dvd movies in sony play station slim
This may be because DVD movies have a reigion code on the disk and on a pirated disk this code may be removed. When the ps2 fails to find the code, it aborts playing the disk. I believe the regional lockout for games (which i assume you have disabled) is a different system to DVD lockouts.

Lost my password for ps2
Put a DVD into the PS2 and let it try to load. When the screen says chenge to level four select yes. When the entry window pops up,press the select button on the controller. It should say reset password or something like that. Put in 7444. Then when you rename the password put in 0000. You will have to do it again 0000.
Once the movie starts, not the menu screen, but the movie actually playing, Press Select button again. The PS2 DVD menu should appear. Cursor over to the toolbox or Setup, and press X. Cursor over to the third icon, and press X. Arrow down to PArental and press X. Change the Parental lockout to OFF.

I am not completely sure about the procedure here but the numbers are correct.

Maybe he deleted a driver, cause if you are in the menu of the PS2 then you can press triangle and you can adjust the drivers... try setting them differently!
