SOURCE: Buzzing sound

the buzzing sound is the compressor trying to start. Unfortunately, it is locked up and the overload is cutting it out. It resets every couple of minutes or so. The problem is the compressor. You can try a hard start capacitor to see if it breaks loose, this is the cheap fix, otherwise it needs a new compressor, the expensive one.

SOURCE: Amana bottom frezzer refrigerator

Gazzo, You are on the right track. I've been finding a lot of compressor failures on these Amana's. It's possible that the overload and relay for the compressor failed, but Im more inclined, from what I've seen, that the compressor is the problem. The compressor is covered under warranty, parts and labor for 5 years. I would call for warranty service...Catriver...post back.

SOURCE: Side by Side Frigidaire Galleria

clean the heck out of the coils underneath and give the manufacture a call, you should be covered by a 5 yr warr on your compressor(reason i say clean it is if they come see it clogged they'll blame you and deny your warr.stating cust abuse

It sure sounds like a compressor problem to me. The buzzing sound is the compressor trying to start followed by a click which would be the overload protector tripping.

SOURCE: freezer fine /After power went out twice fridge not cold enough

In back of the refrigerator is a removable panel behind which is the compressor. Listen for a hum and a click. If you hear those sounds the compressor may have failed. Behind that same panel is a condenser where heat is removed from the refrigerating system. Make sure it is clean and check that the fan operates when the compressor runs.

Should I replace the fan in my GE refridge Model GNE25JSKKFSS, after leaving the freezer drawer ajar over night?

It's possible that the fan blades are hitting ice, frost, or debris, causing the noise. The fan might also be struggling to turn if there's any obstruction or if it's damaged

Model GSI-26 suddenly stopped cooling

It sounds like your compressor is having a hard time starting. Take your model number to an appliance parts store and ask for a compressor start relay. It plugs directly into your compressor and is easily replaced. Remember to unplug the refer first.

Sounds like there is something in the filter trap that is right before the mini disposal that is a fan blade, on top of the motor.

Admiral refridgerator model lsd2615hez is making a buzzing sound every 2 minutes. The buzzing sound lasts 20 seconds and everything in the freezer is melting. What could be causing this?

what you are hearing is the compresor trying to start . and can not so the over load is shutting down . and when it cools it will try again .. you need to replace the starting device on the compressor .cost about 80.00 parts .. most models . some are more. and the melting is caused by no comp runing .. this is a very common problem .. hope this helps mm feed back pls .

Goes off and on

I replaced the lamp today in my KDF-60XS955 and it has worked perfectly since then. I purchased the lamp from sony, costs more but I got the correct part. Might be your problem since I had similar symtoms. 30 green flashes and picture/sound cycled off and on about every thirty seconds. Good luck. Chrismickey

Refrigerator buzzing for 10 seconds every 4 or 5 minutes

Buzzing is usually a fan, like one in the freezer, or back bottom - for cooling the freon. The compressor over-heat usually will make a single click (off) and a few minutes later a click (on). If the fan in the freezer stops working well, the freezer will frost up and the fridge section will not be cold enough.
