A mini dv cleaning cassette is a good solution when used regularly, but in some cases a good hand cleaning is necessary. If you are not able to do this yourself, find a good technician to do it - the mechanism is easily damaged.

I'm not sure what the solution is, but I am having the same probelms, and I would appreciate any help with this since I am shooting a childrens camp and I am fairly isolated and don't have the time to swop cameras or send it to get fixed. I need to know if the recording is fine (video and audio) but the playback is not working correctly...or is it not recording correctly or playing back correctly. The sound cuts out from time to time in playback. Thank you.
First, try unplugging the AV cable and hooking it back up. If that doesn't work then your graphics might be going out, which is another one of the 360s more common problems. If you still have your warranty, then you can send it in and they'll fix it free of charge, but if not you'll have to pay. There are also tutorials online that show how to fix different problems if you have the technical know-how.
