No heat There is power, but things are not heating in the microwave. It is an over the range model and I just cleaned my oven and then it would not work.

Did you spray cleaner directly on the control panel? Do you get any error codes in the display? The most common causes of a no heat condition are a bad door switch; door switch mount; bad connection on the control board or magnetron; bad magnetron, bad inverter. No heat in microwave

Do you have power and lights within the unit? If so, and the only thing that does not work is the heat, more than likely you are looking at replacing the magentron. If you dont have power and like, it could be a control board issue. This is not a typical do it yourself job, please consult a professional or your manufacturer.

Model FMT148G1B2 - over range microwave will not heat food. Clock, lights, rotating plate in M/W all work, just will not heat/warm.

well that depends on the current. If the current is a fluctuating type then microwave wouldn't heat or else if high...please check..

Ge jvm1540dm2ww over the range unit: have a gas range and the fan on the above mounted microwave once in awhile turns on automatically while something is cooking on the range below it....

The heat sensor in the electronics panel senses the rise in heat from the stove below. Once the amount of heat reaches a certain level, the cooling fan turns on to keep the electronics inside the microwave cooled.

I wouldn't worry about it. mine does the same thing.

IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS RANGING FROM DIODES TO CAPACITORS TO YOUR MAGNATRON OR THERMOSTAST OR TRANSFORMERS. IT'S DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE WITHOUT SEEING THIS MICROWAVE. YOU MAY BE BETTER OFF GETTING YOURSELF A DIFFERENT ONE.

Over the range Frigidaire Microwave not heating. Model FMT148

This is a sure sign that the MAGNATRON needs replaced (this is what heats up the food) if every thing else works but food not cooking! 99% of time it is the magnatron!

Hood range microwave not heating up

We had one that did the same thing. my brother got so mad at it he put a wrench in it and turned it on. It didn't do anything to it. No power surge nothing. It acted as if I put a plate of food. Lighted up turned and even beeped when done. The wrench wasn't even hot. Now I do recommend this myself. But we went and got antoher one.
There is something in there that magnifys the power inside the mircowave and it sounds like its out.
