Ice maker kitchenaid super ba is not working . Chilled water dispenses but no water seems to enter ice maker.

Where exactly is the water inlet valve, and how is it tested? I get water from the door, just not going into the ice maker...

Hi

Please check the water inlet valve, it might be frozen or blocked with mineral deposit. Use a hair dryer to remove the blockage. Make sure the water inlet valve's screen is not blocked. If the issue persists, then the water inlet valve has gone bad, use a multimeter to test the water inlet valve's continuity. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Ice maker is not making ice
Even though the water dispenser is OK you need to make sure the tray(s) in the ice maker are filling. The filter valve, located to the rear of the ice maker can freeze over and stop water flow. Check the supply line for the ice maker, it may be separate from the water dispenser.

Ice maker will not make ice. Red light blinks
I have a kitchenaid with the same problem. Red light blinks twice when open is normal. Hold the flap down and the red light will be on.= normal= optics are working. If the ice rakes rotate, module is probably fine. Check the simplest solutions first, defrost the freezer in case the icemaker water nozzel might be frozen. That solved my problem. I then increased my freezer temp by a couple of degrees and so far, no problems.

Red light on ice maker blinking twice, no ice.
I would assume you are referring to the ice level sensor that is on the center divider. It is normal for it to blink if the door is open. You can test out this theory by holding the flap on the left side closed but not blocking the sensor. The light should go steady. If the ice maker is not working then you either need to change the lazer sensor or the ice maker itself.

Water is dripping from dispenser and ice is not being made
It sounds like you may have a mineral buildup problem. Minerals can buildup inside the water valve on the door that prevent it's full closing, and minerals can buildup in the fill valve to prevent full flow wen a call for water is made.

Please provide the exact Model number of the unit so I can see how this unit is built, and can give you more direction.

Also indicate whether there is adequate water flow when getting water from the door.

Ice maker not working
Sharon, I've owned a comparable Kitchenaid refrigerator and have had at least six service calls over the past two years due to the ice maker not functioning properly. Gears have been replaced, sensors replaced, the whole ice maker has been replaced, and the problems keep on coming. Just last week the element that pushes the ice through the grater quit working. The only salvation for me has been that I purchased and renewed the extended warranty with Sear on what I had anticipated would have been a quality product. Kitchenaid has been absolutely worthless in responding to my concerns. Typical service charges for these repairs would run $140-$200 without the service contract. Oh yeah, the ice maker also chronically fails to expel the ice into the hopper because it gets jammed in the tray. Good luck!
