Dishwasher filling correctly?

We just bought a whirlpool gu2700 dishwasher and installed it ourselves. it ran very long cycles and we realized the dishes were not coming clean. we found that a valve in our kitchens plumbing was restricting the water flow to the dishwasher. that is fixed and we have great water pressure to the machine now. but i do not know if the machine is filling properly. the water entering the machines tub is at a much lower pressure and only fills recessed hole in the center of the machines floor (where the sensors and drain are) and does not fill the entire floor of the tub. Is the water supposed to fill the floor of the tub when the cycle starts?

Dissassemble the fill valve and verify that the plastic screen is clean. If so, look undr the screen and remove the black rubber washer (but leave the white plastic restrictor in place).

John, the dishwasher has a timed fill, make sure you are using 3/8 inch line. If you are using 1/4 inch, that would be your problem. The fill should be just below the heating element. If you are using the 3/8 inch line, the next suspect would be the fill valve itself. Make sure nothing is kinked, Catriver.

Whirlpool gu2700 dishwasher

Water is not heating. Could be bad heater, bad control board, or poor water circulation due to clogged, stuck, or bad pump.

Whirlpool dishwasher DU810CW fills for 20 sec.

well the timer and the float are the only two things that control your fill cycle,
so since your float is correct ie the rinse cycle
we can only assume that it would not be intermiten it is just a cherry switch

My Kitchen Aid dishwasher runs for about 2 hours. Is this normal

It depends on your water pressure. Mine runs a cycle in about 25 minutes, with 92 psi water pressure. Before changing all the pipes in my house, I had about 30 psi and it took about 45 minutes. The longer it takes to fill, the longer it takes to do a wash.

Won't full cycle.

Ok. Mine has started working again somewhat. I ran a rinse cycle and the pump motor started working again. I then drained it, and started a regular cycle and it's working again for now. The motor still does not sound right though.

Detergent (gel) always left in dispenser and on bottom of door

Get package of unsweetened limonade drink mix and put in machine and run a cycle, this will clean all parts of hard water deposits. Cascade powder is the manufactors choice, till they get ad space and samle giveaways

The dishwasher fills with water and doesn't shut off at the start of the wash cycle.

I have a hotpoint dishwasher. I ran the dishwasher and it went through all the cycles but on the last drain cycle it didn't drain? Any suggestions
