I have just completed cabling for 35+ computers.
When i connect the SXP2224WM compex switch, computers show network is connected. but no ping works.
bytes sent and recieved is very less.
what may be the problem.
when i test the cable with cable tester, it shows fine.
More interestingly,
When i connect hub replacing hub, it works fine and there is full connectivity.
what may be the problem.

If I remember correctly, this device has vlan. Did you check to make sure that the vlan is configured or turned off? And does this have a firewall? Seems like a firewall is blocking ping port but allowing traffic.
Also, I thought the 24WM was a 24 port switch, you mentioned a hub, but what kind of hub is it?

Is it a new item? or used? Did it at any point work with your computer? Also, make sure the main internet connection is going into one port, and another cable is connected to the pc, and that a light is active at each connection point.
To restore factory default settings, press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds and release! When you are holding the button, pls pay attention to the LED lights, at the beginning one of the lights will be on stably and then it turns to blink faster and faster. Suddenly,it stops and become slower, at this moment you can release the button and later all the lights will be on, it means the device is rebooting. When the device is completely started,you can check it.
