You may need to replace your convergence board if you have several horizontal lines running across your television.

Horizontal lines can be cause by many things. One of which is the convergence module. $130.00 is a little high for something that can be caused by other things as well.

yes its the convergence amp board. I want to get this straight are you saying that you cant align them
and this is your focus problem or you have two problems that you cant get the convergence and the focus?

it might have been easier just to have the board replaced...

Red convergence way off

Hello,
I had the same issue as you pretty much exactly and so do others right around this last few weeks so I am thinking that this is a common problem with the product itself.

You can fix this pretty quickly with the link below. I bought it and it resolved the issue.

Convergence issues?

most likely the convergence board.
Ordered complete convergence board, ask samsung for part number Convergence AMP PCB $108.44, from www.samsungparts.com
or could send it in to ptscorp.com for repair.

AUSTRALIAN PARTS

the convergence board has nothing to do with tuning of tv, the convergence board put three colour gun (red, green, blue) to work with each other, else you get three image, of red , green, blue or mixture of all as seperate image, the convergence board for american tv and Australian tv is possibly the same what you check to see the board part number is the same you possibly need to see if the convergence board has got the memory i.c. if that is the case, you need to tune you t.v reset the channel etc good luck.

You will need to repair the convergence circuit to fix the double image. The second issue of the "perfect focus" stopping at 37% will be fixed at the same time.
