Brushes on whirlpool awm5125

Possibly the pump rotor is jammed. Try dismantling the pump and cleaning it out.

Could well be the Carbon Motor brushes that are worn they last round 5 years hen need replaced..I lie under the machine to do this but you may find it simpler to remove the motor they are located at the side and are secured by two screws, parts cost around £25 per set.....

£85 is the standard Whirlpool call out fee.

There could be a range of possibilities from faulty motor, burnt out brushes, etc.

I take it you are refering to the AWM5125

The sound you hear are the bearings on their way out. You will need a replacement rear tub half

the brushes are on the motor which is located at the rear of the machine sitting just under the wash unit.

You will need a 10mm spanner to remove the bolts holding the motor on. unclip the wiring to the motor and remove.

the carbon brushes are located on the rear of the motor - one on each side of the commutator,

you will need a philips screw driver to remove the brushes

this is a complex repair and the machine complet frount has to be removed

Usually it will be just be reversing the procedure of removing the old seal. At any rate, the door will need to be disassembled.

your brushes are gone its a easy job and first thing is wright down the model number of the machine its normally on the door when you open it go to ebay on you should get some for £5 ounce you have took off the motor it that easy to put back on

i unplugged mine from the wall and that worked
