I have had a Canon LiDe 700F for a couple of years and it has worked perfectly. I have just upgraded my computer to MacOS 10.7.3 and now when I preview a document it shows a blank grey screen. Then w

The only thing I could suggest is to go to the canon websote and update all the software for the 700F so that they are compatible with 10.7.3. The other thing is to check that your quicktime software is uptodate as well.

Can I install Star wars episode 1 The gungan frontier on a windows 7 machine? I can't get it to work, is it even possible?

Gungan Frontier is a 32-bit Win9x game from 1999. It should run fine on modern Windows under compatibility mode for Win 95/98.
On 64-bit machines however, the QuickTime 3.0 installer will fail because its installer is a 16-bit application.

The game will still install, but it will detect that QuickTime 3.0 is not installed and refuse to start. You can trick the game into thinking it's installed by obtaining a valid QuickTime.qts, and placing it into System32 (or the game folder), and adding the following registry key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTime\3.0]

How do I upload video from my Samsung NV30 to my laptop? I put the software that came with the camera onto my laptop when I first bought it 2 years ago but now it doesn't seem to be there.

You can use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can play the video with whatever player is on your computer or you can download Quicktime free from apple.com.

Macromedia projector has stopped

You might try reinstalling Macromedia Projector (now Adobe Flash).

Sometimes if you use compatibility mode to run the game:
  • Click - Start, Programs, Accessories, Program Compatibility Wizard.
  • Follow the prompts to set up the compatibility mode.
  • Use Windows 98 compatibility, and disable visual themes.
Also you could change Apple Quicktime to run video in Safemode:
Quicktime Player > Edit > Quicktime Preferences > Advanced > and under Video Change from DirectX to Safe Mode (GDI)

You may need to reinstall Quicktime, but uninstall the old version first.
