If that is the Double Down Casino, that game has been giving a lot of people, myself included, a lot of trouble. Sorry, but if you paid real money into that, you aren't getting it back. A lot of people have said as much online.
I am guessing that when it was refurbished, it was because of a disc drive error... so i am about 90% sure that they didn't flash the disc drive and that would be their mistake. Disc Drives have their own memory and would still be able to play cd's and dvd's without problems... but if they are not flashed correctly through a sata computer with the correct hardware, they will not play games. My opinion is that you should contact the place which you bought it from, it's not your fault.
Conntact sony to get the reader (Eye) fixed. You may have droped it or it could just be a little worn out or dusty. but if it needs to be fix sony will give you the information you need to mail it in for repairs.
If you have the warranty then return it back if not, then try wrapping it in a towel and leaving it on. It should reset itself and you will be able to play it again. It is overheating and this is a way to get it to reset itself.
Hope you are doing good.
Please try the following solution.
Press Fn (Function button) on the left bottom side of your keyboard that is between the left Alt and thw windows key and while holding it down press the Num Lk key on the top right side of your keyboard. It is between the Prnt Scrn and Pause button.
Please chcek your keyboard and advise if it works fine now or not.
